Your kitchen counter

how you keep it? stocked with appliances? cereals? spices?

me..I have dis dream of a completely bare kitchen counter.. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70377-loveeyes.gif[/img].everything including paper towels tucked a way in cupboards [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img] don't have enuff room rite now doe [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img]

mine are bare except for a fruit tray I keep out during the cooler months. I had a kitchen tools block on there but I rearranged my kitchen so they have their own draw.

when the hubby & the kids were away it was pretty bare with just the knives and utensils on display..

now they are back is a constant thing fi move stuff offa de counters cause ie come like dem see space dem haffi put dem ish pon ie and mi constantly a remind all a dem fi pick up & put whe :sigh:

the small appliances are put away too overhead and taken out when the need arises

Mommy puddung de appt card fi mi go cyarry ar go docta.. mi notice pon ie how de date & the day noh match..mi ask ar and she insist a de right cyard.. leff wuk cyarry ar deh and fine out seh a last YEAR appt card she gi mi..and fi ar appt is fi another day . I dont keep nutten on my counters. they are completely bare, except for one tall vase of flowers and one shart vase..on opposite sides..
The appliances are on a lazy susan down below, and everything is neatly stacked away until me need them..

mine is bare except for a dish for fruits and the phone in the corner. Mi keep putting mi mother glasses in har room.

mine use to be pack wid everything and no matter how mi ask di man dem ina di house fi don't pack it up dem still do it..so Sunday gaan mi tek off everything, find place fi dem and just left out like the sugar bowl, cookie jar and the knife rack..so far so good but let see wat happen by next sunday

Do you have a plan that works with de man dem & packup counter space?

I have tried creating folders, allocating space in drawers, allocating time in the evening for everyone to pitch in (taht is hard during the school year with a set bedtime though).. not much success though [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img]

and sometimes mi just go inna de dashweh mode, esp this time a year wid de catalog dem [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70400-talktohand.gif[/img]

Yes..mi open mi nostrils dem wide wide..kimbo and look pon dem den look pon the counter...dem read sign language very well in my home.

what worked for me is to put up sign.
Everybody can read a sign.
Fe me signs dem have consequences, of wha going to happen if me see dis and dat noh dun.. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70390-shhh.gif[/img]
