Mattress

My back has spoken. Its time to get a new mattress.

Current mattress is <span style='font-size: 8pt'>me too shame fi post di numbah</span> years old. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif[/img] Lets just say my mattress is the oldest one in the house.

My son has a pillow top mattress, but I'm not sure if I really like those. I lay across his bed from time to time, but I think I like my beds with a more firm mattress. Granted I didn't buy him the top of the line mattress, its a sealy or serta middle of the line product.

Looking for testimonials, suggestions, warnings and anything else you can think of.

I start shopping this weekend.

It is better than a pillowtop,because you cane replace the featherbed topper and have the same experience as a pilliowtop. That is what I use. A little more expensive initially,but worth it over the long run.

u get better selection & deals fi queen size bedding

another option is a platform bed which will provide extra firmness w/o de box spring... add pillow top sittin if too firm. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

I'm not buying a new bed. Just mattress and box spring. When I purchased my current bedroom set, I got a bed with a king/queen optional set up, cause I knew it was just a matter of time before the upgrade. Don't like the look of platforms anyway.

I wish I knew how much they cost, but I haven't gotten that far yet. I hope by the end of the year to have one! There is both a temperpedic at the lake and also a sleep number bed. I prefer the temperpedic hands down.
