Seveen, I feel you on the towel bar thing. It makes me nuts! I hang ONE hand towel on a bar and am constantly straightening it after I use it.
The rest hang on hooks over the door.

I don't have any "for show" towels. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif[/img] Bawchroom too small!!

My first experience with heated towel bars was in Sweden. never mind that the tile floor in the bathroom was also heated...both were a little piece of heaven.

Up at the lake there are heated towel bars and they are so great. there are shelves for folded towels and a button to turn it on before you need it so it isn't as extravagant a thing as one would think.

My version is to warm my towels on my electric radiator and there is not much nicer of a thing than to wrap up in one after a clawfoot soak. Otherwise I keep my towels on a rack thingie rolled up and some in a basket like Seveen posted only mine is round.

(1) no electric plug in my bathroom
(2) not nuff floor space fi' ee eeder

If mi muss choose between mi new wine cellar (a 'lectric guzzler) and mi 'new'-ish hot/cole wata cooler/dispensa fi Poland Spring wata, inna mi butler kitchen ... an wan heated towel bar inna mi bawt'room ..... mi haffi do wid cole towel dem.

You know, 7777, you COULD do this: Make the fancy critters out of your clean and/or dry towels & wash cloths like they do on cruise ships... and place them out on either a shelf and/or a hotel-style rack. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70459-idea.gif[/img]
