Front-loading machines do wash better. When I go to my parents, I always have to soak or handwash because their top-loading machine doesn't wash well.

I didn't realize they were so expensive in the US. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70374-lipsrsealed.gif[/img]
They are priced as low as €270 in France, but then again they are much smaller too. Mine has a capacity of 4kg.

Who service LG?
i bought a stainless steel fridg and hasd some problem, that was about 4 years ago, and they had no service facillities I just got rid of it and avoid the brand since.
not even cellphone from them I buy.

I have a fridge from them and when I called for service Sears neva show up on their list at all?

when i first go tit it was under the manufacturer waranty ..and sears does the service ...when that was up i didn't buy the extended service plan but i have found out that if sumtin happen you can jus buy the plan at that point and den jus tell dem to come service it...or you can jus call dem and pay as you go

I have a set of front load washer and dryer.

Mine are Whirlpool.

The washer washes better, it uses less water, I love the fact that it atutomatically detects how much clothes is in the washer and sets the water level accordingly. This is a very useful feature if you have a teenager. Because I know for sure when I am not here, he is washing one pair of jeans in the machine. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif[/img]

The clothes are definately cleaner, sometimes with the top loader I had to re-wash because some stains didn't come out. Almost one year now with the front loader, and the only thing I have had to re-wash was a mud soaked soccer jersey.

Dunno if I like the dryer more than the washer. The dryer senses when the clothes are dry and stops automtically. This is perfect for our late night washing, need outfit for tomorrow family. With the other dryer, we had to wake up early to make sure the items were dry. Now we can just turn it on, and go to sleep assured that when we wake, the items will be dry.

I got mine through direct buy, so I paid about 50% off retail.

Well, technically yes, I was supposed to.

But when the delivery guys got here, I tipped them and they installed for me. They are not supposed to, but I have easy delivery. The washer and dryer are in the garage. Garage door open, 1-2-3 easy delivery. So I didn't have to tip that big either, plus I always tip them anyways.

dem do to de curb (since mi live eena de cold north no w/d eena de garage )

I know we used them when we renovated the space for my mother and saved a ton of $$$ but didnt think it a great deal for w/d too..

Some appliances yes, some no. You have to as with all things, do your research.

Ex, TV's. Compared to a best buy or a sears, the prices are OK, maybe 5 - 10% less. But when compared to our local high volume discount electronics giant store (brandsmart) they are not competitive. The TV price was about the same, but they don't offer an extended warranty, there was a 5% handling surcharge, and then the delivery could take up to 4 weeks.
