but those require nuff dirt and should already be planted.

Oh in that case then do the mixed wild flower seeds that way each one will be a surprise. If yu plant them weekend coming they will bloom by July

u can do hardy annuals like marigolds and sweet peas that grow fast and dont die of quickly. Sweet peas can make nice trailers as well. or Jacob Ladders will do nice in containers.Comment

my vote is for nasturtiums and zinnias....both grow easily from seed.
maybe you could throw a couple live plants in to admire while you wait for the seeds to sprout and fill in?Comment

impatiens are great easy plants to grow...but not from seed.
one bit of advice with impatiens....they will NOT do well in full sun. one of the few plants that bloom up a storm...but they are SHADE lovers.Comment
