Red and I went to Lowes recently for some of our new kitchen appliances. We decided to go with Lowes b/c they were priced competitively and are a large, well known, home improvement store. Normally we go to Home Depot or even a local hardware store but neither one was willing to beat the price given to us by a Mom and Pop appliance store so... Lowes it was.
What a flipping nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!! 
I am not going to go into all the detail b/c it hurts my heart to relive it. I will tell you that it has been 2 months and we STILL don't have our fridge despite it being recharged to our credit card 5 times (the number of times they have tried to deliver it...it has been damaged EVERY TIME.) They just keep recharging it without giving us credit or a return amount for the damaged fridge.
It was delivered damaged AGAIN this morning. This makes 6 times. We are wondering how they will mistakenly charge us for this one since we paid for it on a card with a low line of credit and it is now maxed out from their charging a $3,000 fridge 5 times.
Home renovation is stressful enough. Especially when, in an effort to keep cost down, you hire a friend who is a contractor to do labor. It isn't like we have a team of people here every day, it is one guy and Red busting their butts to knock down walls and start from scratch. We are living in a contruction zone day and night. Add in the hassle of spending night after night at Lowes trying to get them fix what they have charged to our credit card and get them to deliver an undamaged fridge.
Forget about calling the Corporate office, or writing a complaint letter (both of which I have done) they just direct you back to the store. Where you wait and wait to tell the story all over again to the manager on duty who is too busy to focus on your problem.
If itsn't fixed today (Red is at Lowes <span style="font-weight: bold">again</span> trying to work it out) I am calling the credit card company and disputing the charges.
