Love the paths... not sure it's something i could do here. Lack of space & sun.
I haven't done anything in the front of the house and it NEEDS help bad!! It faces dead North and it's 3 stories tall... BIG stories at that.
Wish I had more time & money. This place could look so nice. </div></div>
i once had a huge tree right off the deck here...was hard to part with, we were married under it. but the tradeoff in terms of getting some sun in here has been worth the angst. the front of the house is in dead shade too...hence the windowboxes with impatiens and ivy...really the only thing that will grow there. the shrubs are spireas...they do pretty well.
none of these gardens face the roadfront....in fact, one is totally in the back of the house. they're all for ME ME ME.
thanks for appreciating the blooms you guys...i'm glad you enjoy it.
laurel/nanceejay....not really all that much work..i put a lot of hours in in the spring, but this time of year it trails off, just a matter of keeping all these blessed pots watered. scott handles the veggie spot...so that helps. it all could stand some weeding right now, but my energy level drops off this time of year.
any of you fanatics wanna come do some weeding????? c'mon seveen, we can start with weeding....you'll LOVE it. hehe

We have only 1 tree that grows on the property and it's in the back on the eastern side of the yard. It's really dwarfed by the bigger Maples & Beech trees in the neighbor's yards.
The house is north and a garage on the south side so it's like a little courtyard out there.
The spaces we have to work with are small, but I think eventually it'll look really sweet.
I have a tendency to kill potted outdoor plants. My brother on the other hand...
I rarely spend time in the front of the house, but was thiking I could do SOMETHING to make the house look at least like somebody cares without doing the whole lawn thing. Especially since I'm a renter.
Beautiful loops. You definitely have a green thumb.
