Didn't want to mash up Kia's good good post..


Driving along Route 6A in North Truro, far out at the end of Cape Cod you come upon Tinkham Gardens.

Mr Tinkham decorates for every holiday under the sun. He recycles all sorts of things that the finds at the Truro Transfer Statiom, where he works.

This was last years July 4th theme.



Looks like there was a run on Glass... it's everywhere!!

















I wish I had pix of the driveway, it's lined with lifesize animals from Dalmations to Deer.

Mr Tinkham (is that his real name)is a very creative guy! I like what he can create from the transfer station!


I bet he has quite a display come halloweeen too eh?

yes Kia, that is his real name. He's been in Yankee Magazine. he's a sweet old man and has lots of beautiful real flowers as well as glass & silk flowers.

I love driving by his place. He keeps it neat & clean. And yes, Halloween & Christmas are a treat!! Theere are very few street lights in that area, so his yard is a beacon in the night.

Funny, I never think of Truro as upscale.
They have every a bit of every income class from seasonal workers to Ben Affleck's Mom.

When I first started going to Truro you could see the top half of the house and a little sign on a post that said "Tinkham Gardens"

Keep in mind that his is a town that has an annual "Dump Dance" at the end of the season.
