Anyone know how to treat an infestation of Japanese Chafer Beetles on Roses. Please and thank you.

ok...what i know about japanese beetles...ain't much.
but
you can try those foolish bags people hang in their yard, but those are really just attracting the bugs to the bag, and not dealing with the infestation.
i've heard of applying milky spores to the soil, which will somehow work against the larvae that create the nasty beetle. those milky spores are not cheap, but an application is meant to attack the problem over a course of several years...i think.
that's all i know to use...other than hand picking the little bahstahds.
