Cloth grocery bags

I have some really nice cloth grocery bags but I can never remember to grab them from the car on the way into the store!

It seems I'm not the lone ranger, as I hear this is so common. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks! I think I just figured out a way to make myself remember.

I'm making out my grocery store list and I will put it inside my cloth grocery bag, that way I won't forget the bag in the car again!

Does anyone else here have the same problem? maybe this idea will help.

i can remember for costco but that is because i pack out the stuff in the car.

but for the others, I think the grocery list is the way to go. but i always keep the bags in my car so how dat going to work?

I'm hoping I can remember to put the list in the bag in the car right away when I get inside. I am usually much sharper while getting ready and leaving home than I am on my way home when my mind is more on hurry up get done so can get home.

Well I use to keep the bag in the car trunk and would forget the bag everytime. So now I've on the back seat that has helped.

I keep my cloth bags in the pantry an always remember to bring dem when mi going grocery shopping, unless mi stop off on mi way home.....

i keep my bags in the car along with my coupon caddy. i buy very little that isnt on sale (or i have a coupon for), so when i grab my coupon caddy, i grab my bags.

also my grocery store offers discounts to people that brings there own bags.

well i leave my handbag in the house if i am carrying the green bag. mi nuh need more than mi wallet, coupon, keys and phone inna the cloth bag.

matter of fact most of the times i am running errands round the hood i just carry my clutch wallet.

but if yuh and nylah want carry cloth bag and hand bag gaw supermarket unnu can put the handbag pan one shoulder and the clothbag pan the odda one

well they have some that can fold up small like a change purse so I keep those in my purse jus in case I have to stop and shop

My supermarket has the &quot;Shopping Buddy&quot;
Best invention since sliced bread. <span style="font-size: 8pt"><span style="font-style: italic">I haven't spoken to a cashier in 2 years!!</span> </span>

Anyway, I'm happy just remembering to put them in the car. I use the &quot;buddy&quot;- scan all my own items as I go, scan the barcode on the checkout, scan my store card, pay by debit and I'm outta there. The groceries never leave the cart until I put them in the car. So if I at least have the bags in the car, I can pack them when I come out of the market.

Also, whole foods has a really cool black cloth bag with a cool banana design on it. I confess. I am a bag junkie.

This is so interesting to see how the rest of you do it. I have carried the bags for so long without remembering to use them I'm embarrassed to say. Since last August or September when I got a beautiful farmers market green bag that has been in my car and for much longer than that, two more bags sit by my back door hanging. I can't seem to remember to use them for some reason. I really hate shopping and mostly my mind goes into survival mode to just get in and out and I loose all sense of anything else. (insert dunce cap smilie)

Anyway today's idea worked like a charm. The next trick will be to remember to put the bag back in the car. I'll put the other two inside it and see if I remember to use it next time!
