Forcing Forsythia

One of my favorite things to brighten up indoors in early spring is forcing forsythia.
I cut a huge bunch at a friend's house on Saturday and it's popping already.

my new neighbours, some elderly jamaican folk, chopped down their forsythia bush last summer, to them it was just a bush. that thing used to cheer mi up a spring time.

Doaqn be sad hem Gee, is easy fi grow again... an if dem nah tek out di roots, ie may come back!!

I've never tried it, but I'm going to this year.After the blooms pass on these stems, I'm going to try planting them.
