good for u! hope dem is all flowering mock oranges. mi buy one wid a pretty yellowy leaf, three years now and not a blossom. the miniature snowflake one has buds but haven't opened yet, i think because we have had a cold spring so far.

they say they are the flowerin kind so I am trusting that it is right

it has been chilly here this spring as well, so hopefully in a few weeks i'll start to see some blooming.

i really like them a great deal

alright here a few pictures of the brick change in the front yard.

I turned the bricks sideways.....well I dont hate it

I think it will better if the bricks where sunk in lower into the ground so it doesnt stand out as much. I need more muscle strength to do the digging out part so I'll wait until the Fall. I havent started planting flowers in the front yet - so it isnt too sexy yet

Again not too sexy yet but this is the beginning

I laid down the black mulch and will update the shurbs this week with brighter ones.

the containers I am alternating between all white flowers in the red pots and red, yellow and purple in the bronze pots. The flowers I have planted still need to bloom but you get the picture.

as of tonight every bloody plant is in the ground.

for those who have big yards.....

I decided I'll change up the front brick thing next year. I can use them in the backyard next year. Plus I am too tired to dig them up and redo stuff for the time being.

I love the black mulch

Yes I do think the bricks need to go and just mulch the front.

I like the darker mulch with the green of the grass

It's looking very nice Nylah! I'm finally getting to my yard and gardens after having wind chills in the 20 in the early part of last week! I like your pots on your doorstep too, so inviting!

Thanks Kia! Helluva lot of work I tell you and I have only a baby size garden.


I think what I will do next year is use the bricks in front of the two new raised beds I created this year. Sink them sideways and level in the ground to create a little &quot;patio&quot; effect in front of the beds. (Teefing Gungo Peas idea )

Or do the same thing but in the centre of the backyard where I have my fire pit. That will be less grass next year to cut

Nanook! I know the feeling These last few days have been the beginning of actual summer-like days around here
They say in Alberta if u dont like the weather just wait 10 mins It was so freakin hot yesterday, I realized part of my exhaustion was due to my body not having a chance to be acclimatized this spring

Thanks for the compliment about the pots I love using them to create a welcoming feel.

Now I just need to wait for all the flowers and plants to start blooming in full and then I will be really happy

I bought a couple lilac bushes for the back and tons of sweet peas and nicotinas, so the backyard smells like heaven already
