had some tomatoes and potatoes from my garden this evening for supper and it was heavenly

the potatoes were small but creamy tasting I'm gonna grow more next year

I cleaned out the vegetable bed by pulling out the old tomoato and cucumber plants. Note to self: those cocktail yellow pear tomatoes, while sweet an yummy, are really bushy plants. I only had two plants and they grew so tall and spread so vast. There were a lot of green pear tomatoes from these plants and I made one dozen jars of green tomato pickle. Photos and report to come later.

Still reaping pepper and eggplant. Definitely planting eggplant again next year. They taste so divine when you pick them from the plant then cook them right away. No bitterness and no need to peel!

So two weeks ago I planted a "winter" crop of collard, kale, leeks, parsley, and bok choy. I bought them as young plants from Home Depot. Here are some pics. Note the fall leaves



I also planted snap peas from seed and you can see they have sprung up here behind the row of bok choy.

No spray. I planted some lettuce and that got eaten up with bugs but I didn't spray. I just picked what I thought was good for my consumption and discarded the rest.

One of the tomato plants seemed to have had some kind of disease - I have NO idea what I'm talking about here, but I kept removing the bad leaves to see what would happen. I eventually just pulled out that plant and discarded it.

Unnos gardens looked fabulous. We are in season now. Oct - May is when we do our thing.

Me a prepare di beds now. Not sure all what me gwine plant. Ungle ting me start so far is callaloo.

my MIL is now in Florida, a stay wid har older and sick sister from the beginning of summer, she say she a go kill we wid ackee, me tell har, freeze dem everyday, and buy some in de cans to, cause dem still cheaper dere dan up here~~
