People who work shift work an sleep during the daytime do this as it blocks out the sun completly (yes mi did do it one time) it does look very ghetto but it serves a purpose.

RichD, i usually notice these in apartment highrises. like nuff round king/jameson; keele/sheppard. those are pretty blue collar neighbourhoods, so the working at night thing would make sense.
