Trying to identify these plants

Hi all. We have a new place with lots of plants. Moved in during the winter so not sure what plants are laying around. A few started coming up this month, but I am not sure what they are and hoping to get some help.
My next step was to take a pic to a florist/nursery but thought I would ask you guys first.

There are two (probably very simple) ones:

Help please ....

I cant really touch the garden until I see what all is there. Got some roses that I will definitely plant.

on the top are crocus

on the bottom are hyacinth. take a whiff of those hyacinths when the open. heavenly.

oh...and it looks like you have either a pansy or a johnny jump up (viola) in front of the crocus.

Wow! Thanks Loops! Good to know. How long do they nomally last? I am wondering if they will be around for the summer.
Because I dont know whats in the gardens I dont want to plant any flowers as I may like whats coming up.
I will do vegetables this year while I get a better feel for the gardens.
I also have some large plants in the front, not sure what they are either. Will have to take more pics.

Looks like a stray pachysandra.

sorry but no to all summer. what you have there (the crocus and hyacinth) are spring bulbs. the crocus will be gone first, the hyacinth will last a little longer...but both will be gone by summer.

The crocus will soon disappear . The hyacinths should last a little longer. I would note where they are and plant a summer- blooming low-ground perennial in that garden bed

Large plants in side yard. As you can tell I cant identify most plants outside of roses, daffodils, orchids, sunflowers and tulips. Have no idea what these are.

Can I plant something in between them? Does not get much sunlight.

And pansy I assume is a spring thing too????

Yes, Coless. Pansies can be planted late Fall, lay dormant under the snow, then come out in mid-late spring, depending on the varieties of course.

true...pansies are annuals, but they are hardy annuals...and tend to winter over well in milder climates.

those bushes are rhododendrums....will bloom in May/June or so...if you don't get much sun there, you could plant some impatiens (annuals) under there.

also....kinda hard to tell...but i believe the plants behind the crocus, <span style="font-style: italic">may</span> be irises.
