I have some boxwood shrubs in the backyard.
We put them in the ground last September or so.
They made it thru the brutal, brutal winter we had – I’m shocked. On a few occasions, they were covered full over with snow – you couldn’t even see them.
They’ve been growing nicely, I guess, tho I do wish they’d grow a little faster.
Two questions for you –
Should we be pruning these – you know, like your hair ... are boxwoods something that we should be trimming as they grow? Will trimming them help with faster growth – is it better for their health? Or should we continue to let them grow unfettered and THEN cut/prune when they get to the size we want??
And how tall can these really grow?<span style="font-size: 8pt">
