Building a Playground

I am planning to get a playground installed in the backyard soon...yes I know it is kinda late in the season but it will still be there next year eh? Plus dem way cheaper to buy now. Just curious to know if any parents have done so before and what was used as the base material around the playscape. I was gonna lay mulch but decided against it because it will probably get raked up during the fall......thought of sand also but that expensive nuh true? what unoo suggest?

plain ole dirt?
grass?
the rubber stuff you see on playgrounds?

mi noh memba. we had great intentions then between the sand pit (cause girlkia did a dig up the dirt) and the grass we kinda left it

yes and add water fi mek moat & ting
all chap dung some a de bamboo go mek fort & ting

so we made her a sandbox

as she did clancy try catch de sand \o/

Di mulch is gonna be messy

Don't know how much for sand but dat juss seem messy too

all of them around here use the rubber padding - look around for the most economical/environmentally friendly brand of padding
