The banana trees just start podding

I put the banana plants in the ground from very early spring and them just a start pushing out a pod. They are all well over 5 feet... nice and green. Why they take so long to bear? Mi water dem consistently.

I can't believe my garden has received such little care from me this year and everything is as bountiful and blooming like crazy. I planted some castor seeds and the plants are well over 8 feet tall. If unnu ever see burgundy coloured castor plants lining the sunny side of the house, mixed in with the Cannas and Ginger plants.

Should anyone would like castor seeds, mi have a whole heap fi stone dog with. I even have castor seeds left over from last year... couldn't plant them all - ran out of space.

When you say banana tree forgive my ignorance.....but you mean like ripe bsanana or green banana tree....if so tek dis brite a come on ya a poas bout sinting like that mek peeple inna cold climate haffi a jealous....cho cause it mean you live somewey warm

You know Sandif the first time me si a banana tree with the bananas on it I must have stood there for half hour a marvel ova it mi almost hug up the tree. I am sure the people there thought this girl strange cause I heard some one saying dem white peeple iiesi!! Never really though about banana coming from a tree only see it in supermarmet/fruit store.

I read cannas and had to reread to mek sure I took it for something else begin with can---- then I say no a Sandi whe wudden poas dat

Are you going to cover the banana trees with plastic for the winter?

From what I understand, the fastest time bananas willl harvest is 9 months. Mine take about 1 year from crop to crop. But I am not the best farmer.
