so i am doing a winnie the pooh theme in my nursery. a GF has promised to paint on the art work for me. I am looking for the cheapest and easiest way of doing this. so on second thought i was thinking it mite be a bit much for her to draw on the scenery and then paint dem i have been looking into the stickers but having a hard time finding nething in my area plus dem seem kinda dearish. $300 add dalla fi one scene weh mi si online.

i am painting the room yellow and then creating an accent wall in pooh stuff....ne help/ hints/ ideas?????

pretty much i want a screne that has a tree and sky...and it would be nice to have grass and a pond but dats not a must i guess.

aww that was my theme too...yellow walls wid WTP deco...we bought the stick ons and border trim at home depot and did it ourselves...i did consider doing a painted mural however it did not make any sense because already the older one is telling me she wants a princess room I am not ready to let go of Pooh yet

Vegas one of my co-workers daughter just had a baby. The MIL painted a Pooh mural on the baby room wall.

she projected a slide on the wall and traced the outline then she had many members of the family come over and paint in the picture.

I will ask her tomorrow how the slide projection thing worked and let you know.

Gen thats a good idea. Never thought of buying just ne old tree an then adding pooh.

I am starting to think paint aint cheap either. I may be sayin stickers r expensive but i dont know how much art paint cost

Vegas most libraries will rent out projectors

the paint that you will be using for the mural will be the same paint that you use on the walls, interior paints

the projector is a good idea but if you want to cheat use as many "stick on decals" that you can. Good thing with the decals is that it easy to change up - just peel it off.

But paint might be cheaper for some things cause after you buy the yellow paint, then just buy smaller pots of other colors

Mi seh yellow paint but mi mean whatever the main color for the room will be


Also, nuh badda overwhelm yourself with the project. If the projector and/or stickers/decals don't work out then take your time and do one thing at a time. Use a pencil and freehand draw out a tree, pooh and his friends and then start to paint. Just remember it's only paint and if yuh mess up, you can always paint over it

maybe do your design on paper first and modify as you go along

use low voc or no voc paints for the baby room please

Mi have two leff hand wen it come to drawing etc. Is mi gf mi a depend pan. She can draw dem free hand an then paint. Mi just a have second thought bout all the detail mi want. Eveybody busy etc i dont want to overwhelm her. Especially since a free labor. An mi no waan get tired a har a mi yard needa

Tanya's projector idea is a GREAT one! It may be hard to draw, but tracing is easy!!
Wonder where they got the projector and traceable images from... I'm sure a projector is not something you have laying around


My biggest tip is even the smallest accents can make a difference.

So even if you just paint the room yellow, apply one of those Winnie the Pooh wallpaper borders with some accents above it will look nice...

this was Sarah's room....they had bigger murals but the room so small mi decided to get the smaller stick-ons
