inherited mi moddas arthritis...mi thumb on mi right hand giving mi some problems...so mi finish mi fuss project since di mood come bak...

mi nayba having a baby nex month...har dawg always walk ovah to me wen i drive up...really nice alsatian...getting awn in age but him juss love being scratched behind the ears

den har likkle dawta who cannot write ,keep leaving these 'letters' in mi mailbox...juss scratching done in bright colours

so since mi notice har bump mi realise she pregnant so mi juss knit dis warm snuggle fi di baby


it is good to be knitting again

I have problems with my hands too, so I took a round of occupational therapy this summer to get them back under control. The sessions helped tremendously. First... there was hot wax soak then she worked on them a bit to get the kinks out. There are stretching exercises for hands, which helped a lot, and a lot of mine also had to do with position. One thing that was apparent, is we don't much pay attention to how we position ourselves in regards to doing things until someone points it out to us, every move. It was enlightening, even though I had to do the same thing 10 years ago. I had forgotten much.

You can buy the hot wax hand soaking machine for around 50.00 to 60.00 in departments stores. I guess some years back they were all the rage. I don't know why that stopped because it is the most wonderful feeling and your hands become super soft.
Good luck with your hands Vannie. If you are interested I can try to find those exercises for you. One was called tendon glides. Soaking them from hot to cold water back and forth for a few minutes really helped too.

i have a new creme i rub on them..volaren r some such..it really helps...i just have to accept that genetics have given me my mother's arthritis...hers was not crippling but the weather changes made it flair up with her...mine does the same....

but i would still thank u for the exercises...right now, i juss take time to extend the fingers and that gives me relief also...

Here is one exercise. It says carpal tunnel exercise, but I don't have carpal tunnel and it helped me.


Tendon glides


It might take me awhile to find the others, but I remember this one's name. I don't have carpal tunnel, but tendinitis. Mine started at work 10 years ago from over use to the point I was off work 6 months and it started up same way this past summer from driving so much and then beading and making beads. I beat my hands to a pulp again. The hot wax and the exercises were amazing, and then there are these stretchy wrist supports, almost like support hose...they cut about 5 -6 inches that I wear sometimes and it helps improve the circulation. I wear a special wrist splint on my left wrist when I drive long distances to keep everything lined up because even bad wrist angles can hurt your hands/fingers.

u know dat hot pepper is the best ting fi di pain in ur fingers...yeah man....dat is y wen mi a use scotch bonnet mi tek di seeds an rub mi hands...nuff time mi figet wen mi go bade an is den mi ketch hell n powder house...but hot pepper is the basic ingredient in dem rubs fi arthritis

yeah an it is nutten but red hot pepper..next time look on the ingregients...Capsaicin is the active ingredient in chili peppers. It's what gives chili peppers their kick

mi had coupons dat expire during di snow storm...chile, mi jokingly ask if mi can use mine since mi wasnt coming out n mi needed someting....not only was i accommodated wid using dose but i was given a new one fi 20 percent fi juss today...ah ...such love up here in Canada...den dis man /customer wid him wife come up to the register an seh to me, hello lady with the nice voice....oooohhh...i love me some Canadians...dem is soo noice n friendly...n dem white toooo

mi was out somewhere lass week n dis white guy ask mi if mi did finally find a good melon...juss outta di blue..so mi look pon him funny like an him stawt chuckle..said time him woman an anodda couple join him..so him turn to dem n including me in the look seh mi did ask him at Costco if him can choice melon...yep mi famous fi dat ...so him seh him did tink it was a pick up line me was using in Costco...mi seh mi buss out a laff...so mi had to explain to dem seh mi grow hearing dat u can tell if a melon sweet due to how it sound wen u tap it but mi know is wat sound mi suppose to be hearing..so mi always ask smaddy else who a choose a melon if dem know

we all had a good laff n meanwhile me a look pon dis shawt man an a wonda if him did really tink a tall drink of pina colada would really try pick him up
