Sandi, I had used hot water and vinegar.....cannot remember how much vinegar.....was alot though to the hot water......place in a bucket and let stand overnight. I washed as usual the following morning.....also remember if what you did before did not work like the lemon and salt.....doing this could also permanently set it in the fabric.
Hope the fabric can take hot water.... (shrinkage) I find it does not work as well if the water is cold or just warm. This was told to me by my granaunty and she a 67 she is oldtimer that does not use store bought remedies she say....
btw.....remember vinegar have a strong odor....so I washed twice......she even told me to use bakingsoda in the rinse water....not gwine happen her house always smell a mothballs....she says it keeps away them little critters with the lots of legs.....she lives in a wooded area like me.....again moth ball thingy not gwine happen for me.....sacrilege if u use spray air fresher den u get a lecture bout u young peeple dont know anything
