Effect of light on walls

Ok so I had this red hallway dat mi get eena mi head fi tone down and decide on a light tannish colour. under one light it looks ok, the other it fayva salmon

disclaimer: is only 1 coat on so far so I do hope the salmon colour goes away..


Under the incandescent light




Under the LED light and from an angle of darkened foyer



should I stick with it and add another coat and it look betta or go with a gray to cool off the red

disclaimer: yes I bought samples and put it on the wall and it looked fine until the whole wall was painted with the color and the LED light shone on that one spot

I like the muted colour and the variation under different lighting. It's only in the hallway... mi wouldn't change it Kia.

I think the salmony look what is getting to me and I just put it up this afternoon.. maybe I need to get used to it

Kia,

Add the second coat. That red is too much to cover with one coat and unless you like the effect of getting some of the red coming through, you will need a second coat.

I put on the second coat today and still hate the color. . going to try the 'november skies' by benjamin moore

I like the color. I can't see the salmony look. Maybe you should have tried some kind of base (if that's what they call it) underneath.

I kind of pic colors that look good on me if I wore them. Gray is not one of them although I can appreciate why you like it.

Like bad as I want my bedroom room to be a serene pale fern green, I can't do it. Just not one of those colors I want reflecting off of me lol.

went for the bluegray aka Benjamin Moore November Skies as it matches the living room and cooled off the red foyer that is next to it

watching paint dry....

I was just thinking the same thing about loving those floors. The ceilings are very nice too.
