Window Treatments

[Pepper]

Looking up update some of my window treatments. Possibly ordering through some online discounter. Treatments are there now, and I am not looking to make this into a project, probably just removing the slats of the current verticals and replacing them with something new (color/texture).

The current hardware is good quality and works fine.

Any suggestions? I don't mind going into a brick and mortar store, but if me can do it online that would a nice lazy way to get this done.

One set of sliding glass doors and two windows. Currently all three are covered by vertical blinds. I would prefer if I could leave the current hardware and just purchase the individual blinds and insert the replacements.

do you know the brand of the blinds? If so you can look at the manufacturer's website for slats (vanes)

Major brands are Bali, Levelor, Graber, Hunter Douglas
Lowes has Levelors on display in their stores..

few years ago i used to sew my own curtains and shades... it's over 3 yrs that i've looked at the sewing machine.. i don't even know where it is. have 3 bins filled with some quality fabrics which i spent some good $$ on.

since the house renovation in 2008, i haven't put up a shade or curtain... the windows are covered with natural wood blinds.

I'll look to see if there are any names stamped on the current blinds. They were here when I got here.

I ordered treatments for the sliding glass door from an ebay retailer.

They had wonderful prices, if I am happy with the panels, I will order treatments for the two windows.

That means u are taking down the existng hardware and putting up a curtain rod to support the grommet curtains yes?

I am going to take down the verticals, piece by piece. I will leave the hardware up...for now anyway. But yes I have to put up a curtain rod to support the grommet. I'll pick up something at Bed, Bath or Penny's.

I doubt you can beat Ebay prices if it is exactly what you want, but JCPenney is really good when they have a sale. I have bought many a curtain online and in the store. Overstock.com is also one of my faves.

I have saved rods but never blind hardware. Kia's advice sounds good if it is by a major manufacturer. That must be some nice hardware. Got pics?

There curtain dept is decent and a wide range of stuff. I know I doan see dupioni silk on display but the stuff awright.. If you want dupioni silk den is snottery barn u can find it easily.

by the way unno hear dat Lawd &amp; Tailor gwine a open a home section and separate home store too

Yeah, I was going to buy from them until I found something similar through google on ebay.

ebay price $81 with free shipping, jcpenny $149 plus shipping.
