Fabric Softener Sheets Aren't Just for the Dryer

You can use the fabric softener sheets (such as Bounce®) for more purposes than just softening your clothes in the dryer. A few examples:

* Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the loose hairs. NOTE: Don't rub the cat with the dryer sheet - the intention is to rub the sofa or chair area to collect the stray hairs. Dryer sheets contain chemicals that may be harmful if ingested.

* Spread sheets around foundation areas, or in trailers, or cars that are sitting, and it keeps mice from entering your vehicle.

* It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don't get opened too often.

* It repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.

* Eliminate static electricity from your television (or computer) screen. Since fabric softener sheets are designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your television screen with a used sheet to keep dust from resettling.

* Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a fabric softener sheet.

* To freshen the air in your home, place an individual fabric softener sheet in a drawer or hang in the closet.

* Put a fabric softener sheet in vacuum cleaner.

* Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through a sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew!

* Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce inside empty luggage before storing.

* To freshen the air in your car - Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.

* Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. the anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan.

* Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket.

* Bounce dryer sheets will chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them. It also repels mice.

* Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds. Wipe the blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.

* Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used sheet of Bounce will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.

* Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet of Bounce at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.

* Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes or sneakers overnight.

* Put a Bounce sheet in your back pocket to keep the bees away.

* Put a Bounce sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh.

* A dampened sheet of Bounce will clean bugs off the front of your car.

I had read a list of things to do with fabric softener sheets before, but the only two I remembered were placing in the car (which I still do under the seats to give it a pleasant smell and eliminating static on tvs.

I will try it in the vacuum cleaner. i don't think I had read that one before.

Prior to reading the article, I was not aware of the many uses of fabric softener sheets like Bounce. I am going to put a few in my car and see how well they work. I'll try using a few on the TV screens; I find that idea rather interesting.

u know i see this tittle fi a couple days now and i thought to myself....Please don't tell me that kia makes those too

i came in here ready do harass har only to find a possible solution to my ants problem....wonder how much fi one box a dryer sheets here i have been meaning to get som camphor balls to put in my drawer and in the storage stuff but i remember hating the smell as a kid. i gwine try the dryer sheets dem mite ward off roach to... and anansy

vegas use talcum especially the scented baby one for your ant problem....trust me it works.

nope but by using savon de marseille and making my own laundry detergent, I no longer have a need for the dryer sheets

I recall reading that camphor balls are a neurotoxin and needs to be treated as such. Make sure to do due diligence before putting them in a drawer with clothing you still wear.
