Help me NAME IT

It's a 4 to 6 month old feral kitten... I need to call it something when referring to it (and it's littermates), to avoid confusion, don't I?

<span style="font-weight: bold">It's mother cat is Blackie</span>, a feral who lives in my back yard, whom I feed at my kitchen doorstep. <span style="font-weight: bold">She's black with a white bib, white mittens and white boots.</span>

<span style="font-weight: bold">It's sire is Cobbie, a reddish-gray striped tom with what looks like a tail stolen from a raccoon.</span> (swear to God! )
He's the original feral cat whom I started to feed at my kitchen doorstep... he's beautiful and I fell in love with him over this winter, as he reminded me of a past kitty I once had and loved dearly. I wanted to try to tame him and bring him indoors as a pet. I was working on that when he started to bring Blackie around... and I figured what the heck, I'll take her in too, if he really wants me to... and he made it <span style="text-decoration: underline">clear</span> that <span style="font-style: italic">they were a pair, a duo package</span>.

Then three freakin' kittens showed up, a few week ago...
The kittens appear visually to be between 4 and 6 months of age. They are clearly littermates and Blackie's babies. They follow her everywhere and she takes good care of them.

One kitten looks like Cobbie. (only it hasn't got a tail quite as spectacular as Cobbie's got.)
I decided to call it <span style="font-weight: bold">Tiger</span>, since <span style="font-weight: bold">it's a gray striped kitty</span>.

One <span style="font-weight: bold">kitten is <span style="font-style: italic">ALL</span> black</span> - no white or other color on her anywhere. I honored it with my beloved dog's name. I call it <span style="font-weight: bold">Midnight</span>. (Yeah. Aint it hard to believe? I can finally say the name &quot;Midnight&quot;, and not only <span style="font-style: italic">NOT</span> cry, but smile, again? It sure took long enough! Didn't it?)

The <span style="font-weight: bold">third kitten</span> is a clone of Blackie - <span style="font-weight: bold">black with a white bib, white mittens and white boots</span>. What should I name it?

I despise &quot;Boots&quot; and &quot;Mittens&quot; as over-used names.
I considered &quot;<span style="font-weight: bold">Shoes</span>&quot;... but that doesn't 'do it' for me, either...
I thought about naming kitten after sneakers... but what brand?????
<span style="font-weight: bold">Sneakers</span>? Nah...
<span style="font-weight: bold">HiTops</span>?
<span style="font-weight: bold">Keds</span>?
<span style="font-weight: bold">PF Flyers</span>?
I'm old! DWL I'm 51... those ^ are the brands we wore when I was a kid! What do kids wear now?

I own an old Havahart® box trap. Do you think these crafty feral cats will go anywheres within a dozen yards of the damn trap?!

No! Of course not! Not even for sardines!! (and they sardines)
They let the stupider raccoons get caught in the trap for the sardines and wait for me to give them sardines at the kitchen doorstep when I give in because they cry for long enough for sardines..... I'm such a sucker!

These feral cats are smarter than me! They're training me very well, aren't they?!

Your kittens are adorable. I am working on trapping them so they can get their veterinary exams and shots. Once they have their clean bill of health, please pick them up promptly!

-- Oh, come now, CeaBee! The feral kitties are already half-trained!
-- They use a litterbox outside, already.
-- They play just like any kittens play. there's no difference when kittens are this young. Ask <span style="text-decoration: underline">any</span> vet!
-- These adorable three kittens are willing to come fairly close to humans... two will come to my hand for treats - like sardines. Only the as-yet unnamed kitten is a bit skittish and shy, she still runs if she thinks I'm gonna try to give her some special treat foods. And all three will eat from a food bowl on the ground placed within six inches of my feet.


On another note: I may have a name for the kitten who so resembles her mama - CC (for &quot;carbon copy&quot

I adopted a feral rescue

she is an adorable cuddly princess

she loves to go out for walks in her stroller/carriage

so far this summer she has killed 3 birds but only ate one and a half

since I have had her she has managed to remove and lose 10 collars with bells $$$$$$

next one I may just have it surgically sewed into her flesh or weaved into her hair

aaah it mek sense now why she suh a birdkilla and u seh she not very affectionate

That's ^ OK, CeaBee...

Your three adorable and loving new kittens - Midnight, Tiger, and Copycat - are ready to rock and roll into their new home with their new CeaBee Family!!

<span style="font-weight: bold">Copycat</span> is just like her mommy, Blackie: She has already caught and killed her first five birds - 3 grackles, a blue jay, and a mourning dove... she doesn't play and she's fearless - she gets birds far bigger than herself! <span style="font-weight: bold">She's a fabulous birder!</span>

<span style="font-weight: bold">Tiger is also a great hunter. S/he has caught and killed at least two Belgian rats</span> from the sewer across the street all by her/himself! And s/he presents her/his 'gifts' nicely at your feet... *shudder*

Midnight will do well by you, too, I'm certain. <span style="font-weight: bold">Midnight has presented me with a vole and a field mouse</span>, smack dab in the middle of my kitchen doorstep. (I nearly fainted dead away, but I'm getting accustomed to it, now. I'm sure you will, too... unless you keep them indoors.)

CeaBee - you're gonna <span style="color: #FF6666"><span style="font-weight: bold">LOVE LOVE LOVE</span></span> <span style="font-weight: bold">your three new kittens!</span> They'll work for you, not just lay around and be couch potatoes.


So..... when is somebody going to be home to accept delivery?
