My new house

Picture please... I am not a plant person. This will be my very first garden. Will also ask at the garden centre.

I am enjoying this and enjoying learning all about Botswana's climate, seasons, and vegetation. Yes, check with your garden center and with your botanical gardens. Maybe there is a Ministry of Agriculture with a botanical division where you can contact an extension office. That's always a good place to start. I saw a gardening expert wax poetic about container gardens in Botswana and even posted this photo of sedum. Sedum would be a good bet - group different kinds like this.

Peasie - these look very good, will start on my garden this coming weekend. LOL, our ministry of agriculture's focus is on livestock and arable farming... But we do have garden centres that would be helpful.

So.... booked your flights to Botswana yet? It would be fun to see my country from someone else's eyes.

I like the toilet...the bath and the sink... not so sure on the tiles... seems dark... I read alot on the toilet so like toilets tiles to be white enhances the reading experience!.. My wife put in black tiles in our onsuite rest room... never go in there for a read.. use the family one....!!!!

Maybe its the picture quality but all the tiles inside the house are white except the grey ones in the common bathroom. Will try to take a better picture of the master bath.

And remember its light outside most of the time here

Oh, really cool. I'll let you know when I'll be back on the continent. While I love Cape Town and want to go back, Gaborone may be my next stop; especially because I could have my own tour guide .

Thanks guys. In my family I am known as the "tomboy" and everyone was quite surprised at how the house turned out cos I think they were expecting steel chrome tops and mirrors LOL. My mom also loves the lights, when I went to china, I offered to bring some lights for her and she refused ( thinking I will come with monstrosities) now she regrets
