She cant tell me the word but she says it started with 'WO'


and yes the camp director gwine hear bout ie on Monday.

I dont know cause all I know is she asked them to stop &amp; they didnt and de fact de counselors did participate is wha peas mi off the most

Maybe they said &quot;Wild Woman?&quot; I am working at a camp for the summer and we have a zero tolerance for any kind of teasing or abuse of campers. The fact that the counselors joined was a pure shame. Even if they saw her and she had a giant afro and they said something like &quot;Wow&quot; if they saw it hurt her fellings(which they should be trained to do) They should have pulled her aside and apologized. I am sorry she was treated badly. No telling what the other kids get exposed to daily.

She doesnt know of Whoopi and the fact that she started crying and ran away should have been enough to stop... She said the counselors were also saying 'Come here Whoopi'

This is outrageous.

Kia, be sure to ask your daughter to let you know if they alienate her after you've been to see the counselors, because if they were stupid enough to do this, they'll be stupid enough to do that.

Let her know that kids of all types get teased in one way or the other (long, short, straight, curly, dark, light, thick or thin). Tell her that they only tease her because they do not have her beautiful and exotic hair, and that is nothing for her to be ashamed of. Get photos and magazines of children with the same hair and emphasize the beauty. Don't allow her to change the style for that reason.

I know because my daughters went through that stage and now, they absolutely love the elasticity, thickness and diversity of their african (mixed with other) roots.
