Caribbean Ed. Foundation Awards JA$2.5 Million in Scholarships to 25 Poor Chilldren

OSTON, Massachusetts -- Caribbean Education Foundation, Inc. (CEF) has awarded its 2013 Paul Bogle Scholarships to 25 brilliant, poor children to attend high schools in Jamaica. The Scholarships total $2.5 Million Jamaican dollars.

Paul Bogle Scholarships are awarded to qualified and talented children who graduated from Primary Schools and passed their exams to attend High Schools but are in financial need. Scholarship pays: school fees, text books, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, transportation and lunch for 2013-2014 year.

Caribbean Education Foundation maintains high standards for its scholarship recipients. As is evidenced from the high caliber of students who are awarded Paul Bogle Scholarships, CEF Scholars are among the best and brightest; and attending some of the best High Schools throughout Jamaica.

fees for high school work out round 500 - 750 us per tem seacondary school in Jamaica despite the claim of free seacondary education ...it is actually cheaper to do a university degree by distance learning than go to secondary school in Jamaica...
there is no need to pass exams to go to high schools in Jamaica. That is what the good Deacon keeps telling us.. so the article is incorrect.....

" Talented" children get scholarship.. guess the ones who qualify are not "talented".....

i hope that despite the loaded language don't fall into the trap of giving this money via the school systems who tend to want to help those students likely to bring prestige to the insitution as opposed to academic endeavour..... Been there and fell into that bear trap...
