"on becoming a woman" - mi tink dat too outdated now... any good recommendations for a good book on this subject matter???

Dan is turning 10 on the 26th and the time is approaching

i will never forget the day my mom told me

first she asked me to go get some "napkins" for her

i said we have napkins mom - she was like not that kind

when i got back

she had books, sanitary napkins and belt - yes that was it then - all laid out on the table

we had our birds and bees conversation

we laugh about that day now

and i don't think she stopped marking my period on the calendar until i got married

i wasn't getting pregnant on her watch
