from what I seen on TV the Dr has to keep patient confidentiality on Private Practice there was an episode where this kid was hiv positive but the Dr couldn't tell him because parents forbid it. Kid told Dr he was planning to have sex wid his GF but Dr couldn't tell the parents ......

no.. at some point I will have to trust her and am keeping the lines of communication open from NOW in the hopes she will talk with me before doing it

well there's no hymens in my house

but i want to tell what my mom did when i was growing up . . .

i told the story about the day she told me about the birds and bees

well when i got my first period - we marked it on the calendar

she said this way i would be able to predict when my next period would come

cool . . .

and that calendar was kept in her room until i left home

if i forgot to mark a month - mom would ask me about it

years later - my mom admitted to me - 'cause we talk and laugh about everything now - that the calendar was for me and her - she wanted to make sure i HAD a period every month

and those pads (yes we used pads in those days ) better be getting used

if i got preggers she was gonna know sooner than later (my friend didn't find out her daughter was pregnant until 5 months into it)


now of course that was supplemented with lots of conversations - like &quot;i'm not stopping work to take care of no baby&quot; - or &quot;you gonna have to take that child with you everywhere&quot;

i asked my friend how did your daughter get to be 5 months pregnant without you knowing? don't you like friends like me

and she said she had birth control pills

but nope she wasn't taking them

and mama wasn't checking

she took the other daughter and got her &quot;the shot&quot;

to try to prevent
children being born into homes without
any stable family unit...
and to prevent grand-parents
from having to rear two sets of children...

yep my father's friend was getting married - so we had a dinner to meet his future wife

she was the head of the planned parent center

but she held the confidentiality

You know, I was looking at pics from my sister's high school reunion picnic. She had a classmate who took a picture with 2 of her girls who look like teens. One was very pregnant and was holding a less than 1 year old on her hip. They were smiling hard but the picture was pathetic to me. I don't think I would have brought the pregnant one to the reunion. Her shirt was so tight her naval was poking nearly through the cloth. But she took after her Mom.

<span style="font-weight: bold">That</span> is too invasive and would put the child in a position of fear and hate of the parent doing so as opposed to encouraging a dialogue

I was told by a guy that in the middle east women keep their virginity intact but they do everything else, everywhere else -- hymen check wont change the behavior

how does monthly hymen checks prevent pregnancy? let's say this month dr find out seh hymen bruk, then that no mean seh pregnancy possibly could have already occurred? what is the next step for the mother who has been used to the monthly all clear from doctor? quarantine for the daughter?

and how long would such a mother think it appropriate to subject the daughter to monthly hymen checks? till she's out of high school? or till she's married?
