mi nuh understand dat. how yuh live inna system that you dont support ? if you want to stay home with your child then you should do so. homeschooling is not against the law in the US.

what about the children? As much as I support the idea of home schooling I would have to get a tutor and to afford staying home and a tutor my husband would need to be making a good amount of money. Mi soft when it come to adale so him would wrap mi round him finger 50 time a day.

no the lady next door doan have nuh tutor

her children seem fine ...dem have manners and very friendly.

she and her husband have one car (as opposed to the normal two round here) and the house was in foreclosure suh dem did probably get a good price on it.

Yuh si mi have a problem with the idea that every mother/father fi stay home with pickney because is not all of wi make up so ...even if the ooman/man income enough the thought make mi want to pull out mi hair. </div></div>

i can dig it...my thing is that parents (at least one of them) should at least have the opportunity to raise their own children at daytime if they want to without facing economic ruin...
at certain times in history this was possible...but now we have accepted that we have to hand off our children to day care...
i've seen some horror stories of things that have taken place in some day care...i also don't doubt that is why so many of our young people are running wild with no morals or values.. </div></div>

You just have to make sacrifices... Mi know quite a few people dat still dweet - but dem maybe cyaan afford everyting dat de 2 income fambly can afford...

Mi know one mom at my daughters school weh forever ah look parttime wuk caws she want to b there when her kids come home from school and it;s a private school... one day she was ah sell avon, one nex day she was manning de school door and I KNOW her husband doan mek whole heap ah money - dem drive a beat up ole minivan - wan ah de window dem mash out an dem have plastic paper tape over it...

thing is they want their kids to go to a christian school and she wants to b there for her kids when thy come home - so they make sacrifices to make that happen...

It all depends on how bad u want it right?

David and I did the same thing for the kid. When we both worked, we didn't work the same 'day' hours. I did not want the child to be a latch-key kid. I did not want some-one else to see to him...

But I was single parent before that. And I <span style="font-style: italic">had</span> to use day care services. I have my own horror stories and they were part of the reason why when we got married, we decided that one of us would always be there when he gets home from school etc...

thanks that was my point. mi really sick and tired a people a blame babylon.

I stayed home for almost 4 years and mi nuh wealthy.

right now i am not able to be HOME all day, however I make HUGE sacrifices so that a sitter can pick up my daughter from school and take her home to MY house directly after school.

mi nuh want har inna afterschool tired and cranky and this is the next best ting mi can do. at least she inna the comfort of her own home.

ya I think those fees are extortion.. couldnt you pool in wid some other parents say 3 of you and pay someone with transport say $200 wk each to pick them up for you?

Nat to mention how some ofthe kids behave in aftercare mi would mek the sacrifices as well.

All I can say is much respect for those who work in a daycare cause if a person have to take acre of 5 or 6 kids from 5 or 6 different families is 5 or 6 differnt behaviour that person have to deal with
As parents we all know how parenting can be stressful well imagine in a day care setting.
