dillema....what should I do

Okay here is the story

I got a cell phone for my niece couple years ago because she made the honor role. The deal was she had to stay on the honor role to keep the phone, and she has done that.

So I was planning to upgrade her phone this month because it is now bee, 3 years and her phone is shoiwng wear and tear and not working so well.

HOWEVER....I got a call from my service provider and she went over the 125 free txt messages this month. BY over 900.

I took then phone away from her,

called the cell phone company and got an unlimited txt plan for less thn what I was paying before.

I am not giving her the phone back until next month

question is ...would you still get her the new phone??? currently her phone who she calls she can hear but they can
t hear her.

what do
I do?????

i'd get her the new phone. the texting thing seems to be the main use for cellphones these days among kids - at least judging from my kid - so it sounds as if the plan you're getting is more realistic. i'm assuming she's a teen.

yeah what Mcgee say. seems like a win win situation anyway. unlimited text fi cheaper money..she gets to text as much as she wants and you pay less for it

and get the cheap unlimited text plan weh offer 10,000 text each mth

mi agree with the 1 mth grounding as long as she knew that 125 was the maximum and still went over it.

Believe it or not I had a similar situation with my teenage daughter,for 2 monts in a row she went over her agreed limit,first by £120 and then by £111,..even though her tariff allows 400 minutes and 200 texts.

What do these kids talk about,...anyway,I couldnt not let her have a phone ,so I took the phone away from her for a day and have threatened to take it away permanently if it happens again.

The thing is,regardless of how much she goes over I know I just couldnt take the phone away as I wouldnt feel comfortable if she was not able to contact us in an emergency,or we not able to contact her.

she might not even go over a txt limit if smaddy can <span style="font-weight: bold">hear</span> her
