do u let your child turn in wrong homework? I remember my son's first grade teacher said to always check it and if it wrong either mek dem re-do it or explain it to them till dem understand it and do it right.

is something that somebody posted a couple weeks ago that jumped out at me....about not correcting your child's homework...that i just remember.

i make them correct it. this way they can fix it right away and learn how to do the problem better

No they posted an article...and the article said that homework is the way that the teacher measures if the child understands the work that are doing and therefore parents shouldn't correct homework...or someting suh

I think if it is in the lower grades then I would take my time to teach it to my kids as well cause the teacher have 22 kids in the class so mi will mek sure my child know it.


on another note the kids did hear we a cuss bout dem math program and mrKia did call ie some names and girlKia did tell ar teacher seh ar fadda study maths fi 25 years and what dem a teach is baloney

baloney is an understatement but mi realize dem a guh by dept of education mandate suh mi nuh seh a ting

that is why when mi did bring up the handwriting sample to the teacher she look pan mi like mi have 3 head

I told her plain and simple that &quot;I&quot; could not read it and mi need fi read wah mi pickney a write a day time.

mi find out mths afterward that she did make an announcement inna the class cause one next madda tell mi seh fi har daughter handwriting improve.

i can't do the pre-algebra stuff that abu is doing in math right now

that just got done doing statistics and the graphs to go along with them - bar graph, pictograph, venn graph, leaf and stem graph and box and whisker graph - i learned a lot

so many of the parents couldn't help that they do math tutoring on mondays after school

i tell abu he has to work through the problems on his own - i can't admit i don't know what the heck he is doing

sometimes i google to get an understanding of what he's doing...or just send him to his father

It's always a fight with my son because he thinks his teachers know everything and I don't.
