For teenagers the most you can do is reinforce to be careful if not able to be good........condoms I am quite sure you have discussed with him.......just reinforce safety.

Just make sure he has the safe-sex message in his head, and in this country they would have condoms lying prominently in the bathroom.....

Anyway, I have found the solution. Since teenagers just LOVE to do the opposite of what parents want, all I have to do when I pick him up is go on and on ad nauseum about this WONDERFULLY TERRIFIC young lady who has moved in. That should turn ANY teenage boy off in a HEATBEAT, right men?

I hope to God not. I haven't seen any evidence that he has developed negative values. So far so good but as a parent, one cannot be naive and one must always be vigilante. Some of these chicks are quite brazen and you know what they say &quot;the spirit may be willing but the flesh can be week&quot;. There have been other young men of Jamaican heritage who have yielded to temptation despite the fact that there parents did everything they could to raised them with strong moral values.

RichD, as a man who was once a teenager, do you have any advice for me about the best way to keep the young man on the straight and narrow. Other men, feel free to jump in.

I suggest that when you next see him that you give him a long hug, and then tell him that he has grown into a wonderful young man, and that you are immensely proud of him. Tell him that you will respect his decisions in the future, and you are on his side.
