What freedom do you let your children have?

Are your kids allowed to cross the street themselves?

Are they escorted to the bus stop & back?



My older child can go on his bike with his friends over to the next town. He can also go to the supermarket, the sub shop and ice cream store with his friends.


My younger child can play with her friends in the front yards as long as they are in numbers. She can cross a small street to get to her friends house. She is where we and other neighbors can see her always.

She gets to come off the school bus by herself.
She has her own keys

none right now, he is only 4

he is only four so the only freedom he is has is to ride his bike in front of me but he stops at every intersection and waits on me.
