brace yourself - braces

abu needs braces - result of thumbsucking that went on until he was 6

well the orthodontist doesn't want to put them on until all his 12-year old teeth have fallen out and come back in

they have all fallen out but haven't come back in yet

what i don't understand is i see kids much younger than him with braces on

i would like to get some for him as soon as possible - he goes through relentless teasing - "bucktooth beaver"

anyone have any braces experiences? should i look for another ortho?

In so doing you avoid packed tooth problem. which will require braces later. unless there are existing teeth, to brace itr is only used too create space for permanent teeth in younger children. If he does not have a packed toothproblem,they probably will not require braces at thi stime.

he's got the smallest head and his teeth are crammed in there

i am going to take him for a second opinion - i have heard good things about the dentistry school here

i would like him to have braces by the time school starts

seveen i never needed braces but i know peeps who did. i think a good ortho would recomend waiting till all his teeth grow back before braces. they say that if u wait till then i ends up costing u less money and he keeps them on for shorter time.

poor abu...teach him how to fight man. mek him punch out two of den teet and dem will leave him alone.

poor abu...teach him how to fight man. mek him punch out two of den teet and dem will leave him alone. </div></div> What I think is involved is a malformation of the bone structure of his gum.If it has caused his teeth to be angled off the vertical, they may have to be allowed to grow,and then braced. anyway, a second opinion is a good Idea. And Dental schools usually hve the best of skills,and at reasonable rates. If you don't mind being their guinea pig
