That farm looks very serene and Penny is a pretty horse.

so we're back to weekly lessons. no Penny this week, instead its another appaloosa named Hank. his coloring makes him look like he's wearing pants

forgive the shaky video, i was startled.
she insist seh a nuh fall off she fall off, a slide off she slide off. regardless, twas a lickle humbling. hank refused the cross rails, and she wasnt expecting it.
she made him do it right next time, tho.

of course, i have to wander about and take pics, a bit difficult this particular day as it poured and poured.
swans were on the pond today, the rain neva bother them.
after the lesson, the rain eased up. the school administrator decided to let the horses go into the wet fields for a break
i mean, we had just spent about 15 minutes grooming and cooling down hank, then he's going to be let out to roll get dirty in a wet field.
the horses never mind though, they were happy to be let out. i think the grass must taste extra delicious or something.

so the next lesson is cancelled because of labour day. we decided to go visit my mother, and ride at the school near her home. O rode there in 2010, when she first got back on the saddle after a year off.
this was from 2010, and the horse, Bo, has since died
a bit of history - the riding school a the time was owned by an English woman and her Canadian husband. they had a huuuuuuuge falling out, and hubby wrote a long character assassination of his spouse and sent to everybody they had ever emailed. :whoo: i got one, mi still have it save. 
so marriage bruk dung, school was sold, have new name.Comment
