Parents of girls please help

Ok
It has been light years since I have been in a toy aisle, but I have a request from my little adopted girl in Jamaica. She wants a doll whose hair she can fool with, you know style and play with etc. I personally prefer a black doll.

So here goes...what is the bomb black hairstyle doll that I can get for her????

I don't want one of those expensive american girl dolls or anything. I want a black doll that comes with the combs and brushes and is specifically for messing with the hair.

can't really say off hand marilyn.

i "think" the dolls hair is made from a plastic material, so no heat

so depending on what the hair is made of would determine the grooming tools/products to use.

also, if you want a cheap(er)doll that has various skin tones the only ones i can think of are those slutty looking "bratz" dolls

if you don't mind those then you can find them in toysrus/walmart/target.

this is just the head with the styling combs, hair dryer (depending) and hair color etc

to get the wholesome looking girl next door african american dolls you would have to order online from smaller specialty stores, don't know anything about those stores and their reputation, so if you are in a hurry to catch a flight just go to target. they should be in stock since it's not christmas if not go to the local toys r us.

There is a &quot;baby brats doll&quot; that is not as trampy as the other ones and it has stylable hair as well. I just bought one at Walmart for my god-daughter for $10.00 Canadian. let me see what google has

i got girls but i've never seen a doll that reproduced the actual textures of africoid hair...i remember my daughter had one that was just the head of the doll- a big head with straight hair...but it's that plastic hair that gets really wild, frizzed out &amp; uncontrollable after a couple of months...
so basically it doesn't matter the color of the doll, the hair will be the same---if you find one different please let me know

OK thanks yall, lucked up on just the right black hair doll at Wal mart yesterday, now I can pack. Will take pictures when I am there of our budding beautician.
