A friend of mine died in childbirth this morning...the baby also died...she was looking forward to being a mom and she would have been a darned good mom...

I am just numb...I look at my 2 healthy babies and realized how much I/we take things for granted...our children are blessings and it is a blessing that we survived bringing them into the world...

You're right though, until something touches us personally or someone we know or love, we don't realize where that fine line falls.

Not to take away from your post, but there is a reason why I don't want kids am so scared since a cousin died in childbirth when i was fifteen we were so close she was like the older sis I never had.

she started having complications in her 2nd trimester..she was about 7 months at the time of delivery...
