so mi get one letta eena alla de miggle school paypawuk bout a safe homes booklet

It is a booklet created by the PFA to share with other parents that you (the parent) will ensure a safe, adult supervised, alcohol and drug free environment for kids.

The parent can then call the hosting parent to verify the occasion, location and adult supervision of any social gathering.

What do you think of this? Why or why would you not participate?

I would, if i had the time. so many times my son is out and I wonder about his safety and the 'environment'.

I guess what caught me is that this is stuff parents should be verifying anyway? .. I mean what are the implications if a parent signed this form, had a social gathering and ~gasp~ a parent was not there.

So the PTA is spending money to print these booklets so that parents can say, 'Oh Johnnys parents have pledged to be responsible, I guess you can go over'

hopefully the parents will be more responsible enough

I don't think is for your own home/kids...it sounds like it's for like outings and stuff....no?

soooo if your son came to you to go to a party at johnny's house would you look in the booklet to see if johnny's parents signed a safe house pledge or would you just call johnny's parents and get verification of the event and ask if the adults/guardians will be properly supervising the kids?

I would call, because even dough he/she name is in the book doesn't mean he/she will be home.
