I think it's perfect timing, a death brings new beginnings and I see no better way fi de two dem to express how much dem love each oddah den fi dweet right in de miggle a dem pain.

so if a person wouldnt do what they did and sees it differently then it means you cant think for yourself if you disagree....

they did what they felt to do but the question posed was what do we think of it....if ppl dont agree with them actions because everyone has different sensibilities, it doesnt mean they are being judgemental or are unable to think for themselves.

the more I think on it the less I like the idea. Only because I would like to have a special seperate day to think on my son and I wouldnt want it tied to my wedding day. I would rather do something at my wedding that specifically honours my child that isnt there than combine my wedding with his funeral.
So me stay and dont care what everyone else thinks

many ppl adopt their way of thinking and seeing things by so called morals portrayed to them continually through life, death is a new beginning of life, ting is dat we look pan it as de final chapter, Choo seh wi beings left here in the flesh state are selfish for ourselves and many times can't see the good brought through a death. And as the OP stated, what do we think, some agree others dont but that doesnt mean a single person around here cannot think for themselves. You want repsect for their choice - they have it because they did what they wanted to do. But dont say cause others dont agree with the co-mingling of a wedding and a funeral that they are just pawns that cannot think for themselves. How is that any less belittling? Secret: It isnt.

Funny cause Africans hold certain tradtions and rituals sacred but yet if a black person who lives in N.A. follows the old traditions they are ones that cannot think for themselves. Irony indeed.

and I should state for the record, people who grieve for loved ones that have died, are NOT selfish. If you love anyone you will miss them when they go on a trip for a month or if they die and are gone forever.

The fact that when someone doesn't act a certain way about the death of someone shows the indoctrination of the way someone is &quot;supposed&quot; to act. How much time we si pan tv in a court case ar what eva that so an so didn't show any remorse and then a whole heap a judgment is brought upon that individual cause him neva act the way he's supposed tuh?

I only countered that your statment was presumptous in implying that ppl cannot think for themselves because their POV differs from yours, and that grief is not a selfish act. To say so prevents ppl from grieving properly and then move on. Everyone is free to do as them please. No one has to agree with it. But no need to insult their ability to think if they disagree.
