do you replace dem even if dem is essential kind a ting?

eg boyKia last year leff im raincoat last year pon de school bus and neva tek the initiative fi ask the bus driver where the lost & found goes, and neva bother to look.

this mawning it was raining and im seh im need raincoat.. mi hand im one umbrella and tell im fi mek do sayka im neva mind fi locate im raincoat so im noh have one anymore..

why yuh mek him buy it back outa him allowance see if him learn him lesson then

Well if it is essential it gets replaced but by the time I finish talking about it he feels so guilty he wont lose it again. (the fork and spoon for daycare and the shoes came home today)

After the broken crayons were thrown out the new ones never got lost or broken ...

the concept work till him at least 18

I dont give allowance anymore but maybe I will start so I can charge for things he loses.

Here is the list
raincoat
sneakers
gloves - last year to the point mi just mek im stick his hands in his pocket (he is only outside to wait on the bus which is about a 5 min wait)
de ipod but he finds it when I refuse to let him play with his friends until he finds it
de itouch
im phone - again mi noh let him go anyway till im find it

Mi mad head did take mi the day and mi scrape up everyting broken and whole and just fling them in the garbage ... now even when the toys out of place and I say remember what happened to the balloon and the crayons ... fast fast him clean up And him wanted crayons for about a month.

well my husband go thru gloves an hats like mi no know wah fi seh.

my fada lass fi him wallet alteast once ever 2yrs....since i stop replacing the cards for him him kinda stawt hold on pan it likkle bit bettah...not to menton hat gloves scarves etc

i have to buy plastic containers almost on a monthly basisbcus once dem leave di house dem seem to get lost. same ting wid my mugs dem seem to creep away every so often...dem all end up inna car trunk




so i am saying all dis to say i dont know is not the kids alone. i tink dem inherit it from fathers boys never seem to grow outa it but girls after dem reach cetain age dem pretty good

My two cents is that kids are very different one from another with regards to trashing things and losing things. One of my kids could wear out a pair of shoes in two months, and the next one's shoes would still look new six months later. One of my kids was losing her stuff every day, the other was like an accountant from four years old on... So, I don't think that you can discipline them into going easy on <span style="font-style: italic">things</span>, or keeping track of their stuff.

My kid that was a keeper once lost one of her favorite things when she was four. It was a little stuffed dog that was named Ruffy. Ruffy had been gone for six months, when we were in the dry cleaners and Em pointed and called out Ruffy Ruffy!! And there he was high on a shelf looking down on us. &quot;Little Lost Ruffy&quot; became a metaphor after that for never stop looking. We still bring him up every now and then.

40 I do believe that yes children are different but I do think we can teach children to be organized (ie designate a spot for his items) and it should help..

some times things go well but other days lawd

so I think the key is motivation to do better

I tried to avoid that &quot;Oh NO! NOT AGAIN!&quot; shame and embarrassment, and avoid making her wrong, and praised em when she got it right. Just saying... it seemed to work out okay.

you woulda go for it? or just mek them suffer the consequences of not doing the homework?
