So i always thought it was tacky for ppl to have a shower every time dem a breed...to me, it look liek dem a beg fi tings.
If ppl waan give sumthing, they can but mi nuh si de need fi every 20 months u push out baby an a look tings each time. Nuff a de major needs dem can be hand me downs from the older kid(s) anyway.

If de pregnancies are 5+ yrs apart den mi can si wid dat..

Mi say all dat to say: mi fren a breed again (3yrs apart) and mi get a invite weh say it's not a shower it's a Sprinkle. I thought it was cute

I guess I will go but mi naw buy nuh big ticket item caw a one next girl shi a have...maybe 2 likkle outfit will do.

Mi still trying to wrap mi head around the idea of people having them owna showa but that wasnt you question ... awm if it's my good friend and I would be getting them a gift for the baby anyways yes I would go especially if its after the baby born so I can get to indulge in some new born cuddling.

I thought every baby got a shower, I never thought it was just for the 1st one. Is not like most people giving the big ticket items like cribs, care seats etc, its usually clothes, diapers, bottles etc that you didn't stockpile for baby number two or three and even if you did why di new baby mussn't get celebrated and get some new tings to?

The first baby get showered with gifts and presents and diapers and clothes. Three years later nobody seem to care bout baby number 2 meanwhile you have toddler to care for and not as much time or patience to shop and prepare. Sometimes having baby number 2 can feel more overwhelming than baby number 1 did

if u a breed back to back, u fi can mine yuh pikney..
nutten wrong wid accepting gifts from friends/family..b

but keepin a shower and u on your 4th child, while the first one is 6 jus nuh mek it to mi..

an nuff a dem nuh waan clothes an ting..dem waan de pram an crib an watnot..KMT dem lucky..
it don't have anything to do with child #1 being more or less special.

definitely agree with that...minors nuh supposed to have nuh party fe celebrate dem pregnancy..
gifts can still be given but no shower nuh necessary..

Mi neva have a shower for Imanni but mi friend an family did buy gifts and send money. Still is mi buy all di big ticket tings dem. How smaddy expect other people fi pay fi dem kind a tings??


I would love to have a shower this time tho... but all my peeps spread out over the country, and as Twiny say mi noh put on no shower for myself

in these hard times especially it well tacky

if friends want to send a little onesie etc and so on, or when them come visit dem welcome fi do that, but fi guh have big sitten no sah

even if u naw have shower u can create a likkel registry for your outa town peeps..

de amount a ooman a my work weh a breed, every week we have a office shower roun here..

an then they have other showers thrown by friends/family.
