I have spanked Imanni before and I hated it

My parents did not spank me, but dem say I was very well behaved and eager to please.
So, as Sk ... I mean Mrs.DiabolicalBlank say, every child is different.

When Imanni threw a fit in the store, I picked him up and took him OUT of there!! I can't stand when a child throws a fit in the store
Not only did he <span style="font-weight: bold">not</span> get the Hot Wheel he was throwing a fit about, we had peanut butter and jelly for dinner cause we <span style="font-weight: bold">also</span> did not get the groceries either

He was a perfect angel at the store the next day

You CANNOT give into the tantrum it will only make it worse. For us, the naughty place works wonders but you have to be consistent, use it properly, and ALWAYS tell them that you love them when you let them out of the naughty spot.

Well I am blessed to have never faced the tantrum in the store but we have a standing arrangement that if things arent going the way they should I am leaving and you cant cry when you are with me. I cant understand when you cry so talk to me ... I'll take the time to listen ... when naughty corner or time out doesnt work then it's taking away priviliges.

I raised two boys and only had to deal with one tantrum in the store when the oldest was about 2yrs old. Damn bubble gum machine!

I feel sorry for the parents that dont know how to handle the situation. On top of that it irks me to hear a child screaming at the top of their lungs in the store!

A friend of mines had a little girl that was Notorious for throwing tantrums in the store. After, the second episode, I passed on any shopping with her and the kid together.

I promised adale that if he dropped himself for anything I would step over him and keep moving ... he was fussing with my niece over a balloon one day and I just took the 2 balloons and stuffed them in the garbage ... end of all arguments. but then I am mad like that even at home.

yuh know, even though I am a mother, when mi guh to the store, mi nuh really waaan hear nuh pickney a galang bad inna mi aize hole..

thats just reason for me to leave, and if mi haffi leave, mi more than likely gwine seh sitten to the parent.


I just think that as a &quot;shopper&quot; I should be able to shop without little jimmy screaming in my aizehole.

doesn't bother me in the least, i just thank god that mine at home whenever i see other childen in the store giving trouble


it's a public space and i understand that mommies need to get the shopping done, children not always being and not all moms can abandon the shopping and just leave same time, if the child start to act up.

looking back mi realize that I really didnt have that problem with my daughter not because she wasn't prone to tantrums, but because mi used to leave her at home.

mi just refuse fi carry har with me till of late, cause mi nuh want hear har whining fi dis and dat. and mi nuh want hear nuh &quot;are we ready to go&quot; ?

but like yuh seh not everyone has that option.


but mi really grateful fi all the options now a days, like the online grocery etc.
