Family and Laundry

How much do you get your family involved in doing the laundry?

I had a system kept me sane for a few years . My house has a laundry chute that is near the upstairs bathroom and chute is right above washer/dryer downstairs. For the family of 4, I had five different color laundry baskets - black, pink, green, blue and white. Each person had their own color basket in the laundry area - white was reserved for towels, sheets, other linen. I usually cleared the laundry chute and sorted by person by color basket. Each person - children started doing their own laundry around 4th grade - did their own laundry and I did the linen stuff.

How does your family take care of the laundry?

two hamper.

one fi clothes

the other fi towel and sheets.


me wash. me and Amy fold and hang up

ETA: used to have a separate hamper for the girls but now dem clothes wash wid regular detergent

i dont know...i drop the clothes on the floor and the next time i see them they are ironed and hung in my closet or folded in the drawer

mi have a huge bag fi socks...i dont pair dem up an di man will get fed up an go buy a whole new pack instead a searching fi di edda foot...so di bag jus a grow an grow an grow

solution ... buy the same kind of sox so u will never be out a pair them will always match

the big foot bwoy just wear what eva pair me get fi match..whether is really fi him or him fada socks.

me can only give LB's his own socks that match or &quot;almost match&quot;

each person has a laundry basket in their room

for the kids mi just wash one time and ie noh look differnt

for the man &amp; I we have de two baskets one fi whites one fi oddas

sheets &amp; towels wash separately pon Tuesdays



the boychild is learning to do his own laundry.. I have to remind him to bring his wash down, he sprays, remind him to move the clothes to the dryer and to take them out to fold.

Beans not judging but the socks always match if all of them is black and the same style or white or grey ...

don't even get me started about socks. I lost that battle a long time ago and the washer/dryer won \0/
