does a child get to decide what he/she wants done to their hair?

Adale has been reading his bible stories and watching the dvd's and today he told me he is not going to drink wine and I must not cut his hair because he is going to be like sampson. and he washed and combed it and then told his father not to shave it off what do I do I'm all for him having a mind of his own but isnt 5 a bit early for him to make that decision?

normally when it start knot it just wash and run hand tru ... so him used to that .... mi no know like how him interested in actually combing it now if that will make a difference.

well as both of wi in here is rather hairy people and tend to grow hair quickly, it stand to reason that this one gwine hairy as well.

is off to the barber shop im going wid di first sign of a bush. no boy hair platting ting gwine work in here.

mi glad mi nu haffi learn fi comb no gyal hair, as it would surely be a shame...
