girlkia been doing taekwondo and she is moving up in rank but her heart not in it anymore. She would have about 2 1/2 years to get her black belt.
The school has a contract that expires in Feb.
She does not really want to do it but now says she wants gymnastics because her cousins do it (they are very good #4 in their respective states).
We ideally would like her to go to black belt (to learn how to set & achieve goals) but also not with her being miserable through the process.
Gymnastics is also a sport where she will have to be disciplined and dedicate time & practice and I would be disappointed to hear after a while.. 'I am bored with gymnastics and don't want to do that anymore'
What would you do?
btw - Yes the child must do a sport. She is high energy and this helps. She also wants to do basketball but there is not a year round league around here
