Moving saga: Well my son the packrat is at it again. Last time we moved, it was when he was at university and I downsized from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom condo with solarium. I suggested he get rid of some things but he got rid of nothing. I actually advertised furniture on Kijiji and when he came home he was very upset. The furniture is still in his Dad's basement.
This time, I downsized to a 1 bedroom with den. He works out of town has a small area for when he visits. I thought for sure he would get rid of all the videos he has had since childhood, every soccer and hockey jersey he has ever owned, his beanie baby collection, and just about every school notebook he has ever had. Nope. It has all been moved to his Dad's garage. Not even his snorkeling gear that he has not used since a school trip to Jamaica when he was in grade 11 would he give away.
Is anyone else the parent of a pack rat?
