Summer Camp Time

The brochures and emails are starting

We have a rec camp in our town for 5 or 6 weeks. Our county has a great park system with lots of good camps.

The deal is you have to sign up early and use the redial button plenty times ... some have moved to online access now which I think is great


Then there are the traditional summer camps, sleep away, day camps, etc..

Time to get started!!

Since for the first time I'll be home with adale in the summer I am thinking of a 1 day day-camp down the road from my house ...just so he gets out and away from baby

ETA ... looks like soccer camp is an option

Kia do you let them help you chose what they want or do you just decide on activities?

when they were younger I suggest they try certain activities based on what I thought they would enjoy. Now they ask me to sign them up for certain camps

Every year I say I am going to have them each do one week of some camp but it works out to about 3

This summer
one week of a camp related to their main sport
maybe...one week of a 'odyssey' camp where they do a different sport each day
pool club/ beach days
plus nuff travel all bout different places

i haven't found anything for teenagers

and i don't even get a child dependent care credit on my taxes anymore

the last camp was Art camp fi mussie 2 weeks 11-3

waste a time cause dem nevah teach anyting like shading, techniques

didnt do the camp thing last year

likkelgen does not like going on the trips (some a dem mek di pickney dem lugga lugga wid backpack and/or tek bus) and she not into the bus or schlepping any luggage wid har. and since most of the all day ones have trips mi cross dem off the list \0/

mabye swimming this year for 2 weeks

yeah i think i'll just do swimming and them have them Tk doe...then me find some other little things for them to do.

wonder if them grandparents gwine want them again this summer ...

note to self: call de swim factory and get the kids in for 2 weeks-- skip odyssey camp.. girlkia neva like it but she come out swimming
