Invasion of the little Bed critter

Do you guys know a remedy to get the little ones out of your bed. Wendy2 has had her own bed/bedroom since she was 2 and the first couple of months she slept in her bed all through the night –no problems.

For the last year or so she keeps creeping back in my bed 1 am .. 2 am ... 3 am in the morning.

She is nice and warm and cuddly but massy Jesas mi cannot tek noh more of her big toe ina mi nosehole and har elbow ina mi yeye a night time. She sleep bad and mi cannot get her outta mi bed.

How do you nicely wean dem back in dem bed.. Shi a big girl now and need to be in her own bed.

Yeah Ms Exced shi just turn 4 and worst yet she is getting tall .. so when shi stretch out side way ina mi bed shi a shub everbady to di far east a di bed an wi havi hole aan fi dear life so wi noh pitch ova. Lawd a massy \o/

this is what i did and i suggested it to mo_fire and i think it worked for her too

abu was getting in bed with me at night and i hated it

so i bought him a sleeping bag and told him if he wanted to come into my room at night he had to use the sleeping bag on the floor in front of my bed - that he couldn't get into the bed with me

after a few weeks of coming in my room and using the sleeping bag - he stopped coming in my room at all

occasionally he will still come in my room at almost 14 - but he will bring his blanket and curl up at the foot of my bed

Seveen.. You know for a while I was thinking maybe mi could try dis method. According to her she doesn't want to be alone at nights..granted her room is a stone throw from my room so shi nat too far.

But di odda day when shi did have her friends dem ova fi sleepova shi bolt wey lef dem same way come squinge up unda mi. She wasn't alone den soh to me tink sey is more like she love fi jus touch and feel when shi sleeping

since my son is older i am able to ask him why he comes into my room

it's not so much the touchy feeling thing

and i have looked into it and find that a lot of kids go through this - this is one of the worst fears kids have

that's why the sleeping bag in the same room worked - he could come in the room - find out i'm alive - and then sleep in the sleeping bag to make sure i don't go away

after a very short while the anxiety subsided enough for him to stay in his own room

now it only pops up a few times a year

google separation anxiety in kids - sleeping with parent is one of the symptoms

of course they don't give any suggestions tho'

oh i forget to mention

i didn't let him start out his night of sleep in the sleeping bag - i put him to bed in his own bed

the sleeping bag was IF he had to come on my room - and i didn't have it laid out on the floor either - rolled in the corner

Well if a separation anxiety she have den shi have the STRANGE TYPE cause when shi go anywey wid mi shi bolt weh gaan lef mi so til mi figet sey mi have pickney wid mi. when mi drap har aff a daycare shi can barely tun roun fi wave goodbye... Shi more interested fi marinate ina di attention shi get when shi walk in

So fi har separation anxiety noh consistent a tall

Wendy ... separation anxiety is weird ... Adale displays the same kind of behaviour but he has been even more clingy at bedtime since the morning he woke up and mommy was at the hospital. When he goes to my sister's house he follows her around and he knows how to dial 911...

how about a reward method. She earns points for when she spends the whole night in her room and after xx amount of points she can trade it in for a special treat


that worked in our house but as she got older she has deep seated issues about going to sleep and we brought in the top guns to deal with that
